Well, hi, I'm Yua if you haven't figured out already!
I'm a little demigirl of the demikings, demiqueens and demiblobs. My pronouns are she/they, I'm pansexual and I have a huge interest in cool and vintage tech, music, sound tech, gae stuff, photography, electronics, and things that give a sense of anemoia and nostalgia to me.
Some of you may know me by YuaVibez, YuaBeVibin, HardWired, WidePop (with my deadname between those 2 words), WiredPop, YuaNG, etc.
You probably also know me from SpaceHey, before it got so unstable I decided to dash from it and delete my acc. If you're here, welcome back! just pls don't cause any drama ;-;
I come from South Wales, a part of the UK that is constantly forgotten about and swept under the rug. I live in prob the most cis place in the world sooo I generally just use my computer all day. Although I do go to the more gayer Cardiff where I go to a gae club. No, no, no, not that kind of gay club, dirty minded. I mean an LGBTQIA+ youth club. Other than that, I'm pretty isolated, and I'm pretty quiet until one talks to me. Believe me, I'm a terrible convo starter.
I'm into old computers from the 70s, 80s 90s and 00s, and my room is basically a computer graveyard at this point. Don't ask me to code though. I honestly have 0 fucking clue on how it works. If you ask me I will get embarissed and my mind will die, and I've embarissed myself many times in front of experienced programmers when I mentioned I once tried to learn code and they showed me simple code, and I feel so shit when it happens aaaaaa
I have some decent html skills though, kinda. I'm a bit rusty though, literally got to the point where I forgot what a fucking flexbox was lmfao. But I mean put some oil on me and I can make some beautiful sites like this and EggHut! I'm defo not suited to make a website for say, a large multinational corporation though. I'm not skillful enough, and even then I'm too much of an interwebz hippie to make a dull boring web2 corporate website with no personality.
I also have gotten into photography lately!!! I really like old filmstock cameras, that kind of vintage stuff, and I mainly take photos using an app that simulates a 16mm film camera. Now I would actually invest in real stuff, but I'm poor so -_- I mainly just shoot them for the nostalgia. I don't know why I get it, only things I can think of is either anemoia, the fact that those photos represent a lot of people's childhoods, or just the nostalgic feel of Life Is Strange. Either way I love it!
Oh, and yes, low and behold, that is the famous BLAHAJ. Love that thing to fucking death. Literally my closest friend at home, and the one thing that keeps me going in my hometown. Blahaj is life, and blahaj is all things trans.
I do sound engineering! My planned future carreer is to join the BBC in broadcast sound, and I get todo so much as a headstart!! I've seen many bands, big and small, generic and wacky, new and old. It also reshaped my tastes! I used to be into EDM and breakbeat but it got me into 60s and 70s rock and psychadelic. Totally worth it!!!!
Currently I am working on a large project called EggHut, a collabaritive trans youth knowledge base that I hope that, with the help of others, can grow to a large scale to help every trans kid who comes across it! Feel free to contact me if you wanna get involved!
